Hi everyone;

Just an update.  I’m in the middle of a bad ‘flare’ of something.  I’ve developed intolerances to corn and egg and any seeded vegetables, even heavily steamed. Nightshades have been completely eliminated, although paprika is in way more items than we realize. That is obviously making my life pretty complicated right now.  Very complicated.

Yes, I have deleted all my posts here.  IF I come back to blogging, I need an entirely fresh start.  But I’m not sure if I am going to come back to blogging.  It seems no matter what I post, I sometimes post controversial things that attracts people who love to attack.  I don’t know if it’s me, the way the anonymity of the internet works for some people, or what.  I do know that the hassle of that kind of interaction or the fear of when will it happen next…is not worth the stress to me.  Certainly not now.

As I continue to work through this health issue, I’m going to have to decide if blogging for me is a help or a stressor.  I won’t come back to regular blogging until I can put the negative aspects of it aside.  I just don’t have room on my emotional plate for that.  I’m sure you understand.

Maybe I’m not the kind of person best suited for blogging.  Maybe keeping a private blog (just for me alone) works best, maybe no blogging, maybe by invitation alone.  I just haven’t decided now because working a full time job and trying to monitor a very limited elimination diet and daily side effects…is all I can really handle right now.  It’s extremely stressful, and yet stress aggravates all symptoms.  It’s a real guessing game to a great extent.

I just wanted to give anyone still checking on me, an update.  I appreciate those of you still here.  As soon as I get a little better, consistent handle on my health, I hope to start visiting your blogs again.  Much love to you.

p.s. if you are interested in being invited to a private blog, SHOULD I choose that path, please email me at: silverwillow02@gmail.com. Provide your first name or Google user name, your blog’s name, and your blog url. I’ll keep as a reference should I go down that path. 🙂

I can't understand why anyone would come to your blog to attack it or you for that matter!

Anyway, I understand your dilemma about blogging, I've felt that way many times and I don't have your health issues. Do what is best for you!

I'm sorry you're having a dilemma about blogging. Give yourself time and it will sort itself out. Healing thoughts and cyber hugs are coming your way!

Thanks, Annie. It's been over several issues, over the past couple of years. I prefer not to discuss specifics at this time. I understand constructive criticism, but vile attacks just have no place. Anyhow, I just have to put the possibility of that ever happening again, out of my life. One way or another. If I occasionally spout something too controversial for someone or groups of people, that causes attacks instead of healthy back-and-forth interaction, then blogging just isn't for me. I still need to figure that out. 🙂 And thank you so much. I suspect if I do blog again, it will be completely by invitation only. You, of course, would be invited. 🙂 :: hugs ::

I think you outlined a good solution in your post. You could maintain TWO blogs – this one and another that's private (or invitation only). The best of both worlds. Of course, all that will wait until you're in better health. Taking care of yourself is the most important thing.

I will email you the info. Plus I want to add that if and when I get a nasty comment on my blog, I delete it “forever” and mark the person as spam so they cannot return. Then I forget about it. Sticks and stones…

I've done the same, except for the 'forget about it part.' Not that I dwell on it, but it's there, on occasion, as a 'will/when will it happen again.' I think that's my biggest deal. As someone with OCD, I have to be able to get past it, or maybe blogging isn't for me if I don't have a thick enough skin to move past it. Thank you!

I use moderation. I set the tone. It's important not to let hostile people ruin the atmosphere of my blog with negativity, esp. personal attacks.
You have every right to consider your blog to be your property. You don't owe anyone freedom of speech on your own blog: set the terms.
If you should put up a private blog, I would be interested.

    Good luck.
Life can be tough at times.
Don't know how to find/found time to blog when you work full time, run a house etc…and then not being well from time to time – Take care and thanks for letting us know how and where you are 🙂

Some people are just dicks. If your blog allows it, you can fix it so you read the comments and then decide whether or not to publish them. Or you can just eliminate commenting altogether. I can't for the life of me figure out what you said to irritate anyone.

I understand as I too have a hard time forgetting a negative comment even though I delete the commenter knowing I am not the problem, that the negative commenter is an ignorant judgmental miscreant. Hope your health issues clear up and I'll send my info if you decide to go private.
