not doing good

I felt perfect for 10 days, then we went on vacation this past week, and I was relegated to  nothing but restaurant meals.  Even being careful in what I ordered, by day 4 I was having pure liquid D.  That was Thursday.  Here it is Sunday, and back on home food the past 2 days, but nothing is improved.  At least no blood, but I’m a hot mess and crying all the time and so frustrated.  I don’t know if this is still the restaurant food in me, or my medicine is no longer working.  Fortunately, my one month check up with my GI is Wednesday afternoon.

I’m so sick (emotionally) of being sick.  It’s been 20 months now, and my OCD is having a really hard time dealing.  I wish I’d never gone on vacation.  But maybe it’s just a coincidence…?  😦

Anyhow, sorry I’m not following blogs right now.  It’s hard enough just getting through the days.

I'm so sorry. I'll be thinking about you and keeping my fingers crossed that things will start to improve and stabilize quickly.

Gosh, that sounds so terrible, to be so miserable and so unhealthy. Restaurant food does that to me and I'm in pretty good shape. It's just that i'm not used to so many preservatives that restaurant food has in it. We were gone 10 days to Oregon but had our own kitchen in a rental unit so very few restaurant meals and even those were pretty much vegetarian. It's hard to travel.

    bless you dear heart.
restaurant food makes my heart Afib go ballistic. my triggers are extreme heat and salt.
it's in the 90's here and restaurant food's favorite seasoning is too much SALT.
my own fault. but I get where I just can't face ANOTHER salad.
hang in there. we're all cheering for you. love and prayers for you. xoxo

I'm sorry you are having to deal with this. Is it like when I eat out and I am “glutened” and then it takes me 2 weeks to not have liquid D or depression and all the myriad of symptoms I will have? I hope now that you are home this gets better quickly for you.
    cyber hugs ((hugs))

Sorry to hear this. I have simply given up on travel for the time being and perhaps permanently. Tip: Go to Thai restaurants and order everything mild.
    Hope you feel better soon.

I'm glad your monthly checkup is this week. You need something to help you heal, and I too hope it all gets better sooner rather than later. No worries about reading my blog! 🙂

They have, thanks, Kay. After about 3 days I was feeling much better. Still much gut rumbling, and I am on a very limited diet still, but the worst symptoms have gone. 🙂

I was much better by the time of the appt. I know I need to calm down and settle into this as a chronic condition, and stop trying to control outcomes. I don't want to rush to another additional drug treatment, and things have calmed down, so we agreed that as long as there is no blood, I can continue as is. With no worsening of symptoms, I don't see him for another 3 months. Thanks, Jan!

Vacation with eating out affecting you so would be so disappointing, but glad you report your system seems to have readjusted now that you're eating limited items at home. Do hope this situation stabilizes and you can gradually get it to,last longer and longer.

Oh dear, I feel for you too. I always can tell when in a different eating regime on holidays, I always feel delicate, and when you add on to that what you have to deal with, must be very debilitating and a major challenge in body and soul to put it mildly. I see from your other posts you are feeling much better now. Truly happy for you. Thanks so much for stopping by 🙂
