I can’t recall this EVER happening before!

A weather pattern plaguing most of the United States is moving all the way west to us in Southern California.

Weather always (here) travels West to East.  Except for Santa Ana winds that come from the east (deserts) to us.  But I don’t recall any large pattern of weather from as far away as the mid
west, let alone the east coast, traveling all the way west to us here!!

But worldwide news source Reuters says that is exactly what is going to happen.

Your heat wave is coming to us.  By Friday, we are supposed to hit 100.

So bizarre.

Meanwhile June gloom (at least the kind that lingers most of the day) is finally leaving, as it usually does, right on schedule by 4th of July.  (probably today when you read this.)

The decision is weather (haha) (whether) to wear shorts to dinner and the movies on the 4th, or wear jeans.  (BBQ restaurant.)  I don’t know.  The jury is still out.

However you choose to spend the day, if you are a fellow American, I wish you a pleasant day, filled with great new memories.

Here in Pennsylvania it has been so hot for the past week. I feel like I'm melting most of the time but unfortunately all those extra pounds are sticking right with me. Maybe the heat has permanantly welded the pounds on to me….lolHappy 4th

Enjoy the holiday. I vote for shorts if it is hot although I would probably wear jeans as less likely to show all the barbecue sauce I would drip on myself.

Real heat isn't here yet. Only going to be low 80's, so evening temps will be cool (when we get out of the theater.) I'll probably go jeans. 🙂 LOL re dripping BBQ sauce. I like the thick (sweet) kind! We'll see how they do it; haven't been to this restaurant but once before, and that was at least 4-5 years ago for only a lunch. 🙂 Have a great holiday!

Ugh, that sounds pretty bad. I don't mind heat (wouldn't be moving to AZ if I did.) I much prefer some heat to June gloom. (I'll probably come to rue that statement in summers to come in AZ. LOL)

Yikes! Rain is VERY rare here during the summer. A rogue Mexican storm might work itself this far north, but the rain is negligible when it does. Hope your weather improves a little soon!

Shorts works for me. Our summers have always been in the hundreds since I moved to AR. The chamber of commerce lied to me. Hotter than Florida ever was. Odd to see the rest of the states also simmering. Hope you have ways to keep cool. Make it a good day.

I'm not wearing anything longer than shorts no matter what. If you're getting what we have, make sure you have air! (I don't.)

You poor thing. We have air, thankfully. We rarely turn it on unless it's above 90 out, but/so it will definitely be put 'on' for this little heat wave. Enjoy your day!

We're getting some cloud buildup here in Arizona, portending the beginning of the monsoon (rainy) season. We could use 40 days and 40 nights of it (rain, that is).

I hope you don't feel too awfully hot from that weather. We are still in the 70s and 80s here in Washington State. That's plenty warm enough for me! 🙂

I'm sorry you're getting the heat, but we here in NEO (Northeast Ohio) are OVER IT. It's been hideously hot and humid here for a week, and it feels like being in a bowl of soup. When it's too hot to boat, you know it's too hot!
